Traffic Disruptions in Nepean - Provincials

There will be construction and road maitenance happening in Nepean from June until the end of 2012.  Please be aware of the delays and detours as described below.  The impact to traffic along the Woodroffe Avenue corridor and surrounding areas is expected to be significant.  

The four (4) existing traffic lanes along Woodroffe Avenue, between Baseline Road and Highway 417, will be reduced to two (2) northbound only lanes during construction to provide a corridor for the work to proceed.  Eastbound and Westbound Queensway ramps to southbound Woodroffe Avenue will also be closed for the duration.  The lane reductions will take effect on the evening of Sunday, June 17th and will remain in place until the end of 2012.  A large volume of traffic will need to use alternate routes around the construction zone for the entire duration of the construction.

Detours are expected to cause delays for residents travelling in the area.  Alternate routes would include Meadowlands Drive W, West Hunt Club Road, Fallowfield Road, Strandherd Drive, Merivale Road and Prince of Wales Drive, Greenbank Road, and Maitland Avenue.
