Athlete Bios - Joe Bartoch - 2008 Olympian

Sprint freestyle and butterfly specialist Joe Bartoch is from London Ontario where he trains with the London Aquatic club under Coach Paul Midgley.

During the school year, Joe studies Physical Education and Coaching at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas where he trains with Coaches Kunio Komo and Jim Lietz. Joe strives to be the best and he is currently Canada's top butterfly sprinter after winning the 100m fly at the 2006 Pan Pacific Trials with a time of 53.13. He has his sights set on making the Olympic Team in 2008 and would eventually like to Coach when his swimming career comes to an end.

The stands will be filled with Joe's family and friends wearing 'TEAM BARTOCH' t-shirts and holding signs to help cheer him on. Joe's family and friends are his number one fans and they are always there to support him. When not at the pool, Joe enjoys outdoor activities, playing other sports, and watching movies.

Joe will competing at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the 100 fly and 4x100 medley relay.
