Officials Clinic Material

The following are the different clinics offered in the certification program.   They are available here as PDFdocument (click on clinic name) for review purposes with separate quizzes documents and printable handouts.  Instructors and/or Club Officials chairs may obtain Power Point presentations, video files for strokes and answer keys to quizzes by emailing officials@swimontario.com for link to Dropbox folder and password.  The latest updates to clinics will be listed here as they are made available to us.

Guidelines and Requirements for Officials Clinics presentations:

  • A Level II Official may present only the Level I Clinic with a Level IV or V Mentor present

  • A Level III Official may only present 

    • the Level I Timekeeper Clinic, without a Mentor present

    • Level II Clinics (except Starter) with a Level IV or Level V Mentor present

    • If a Level III Official wishes the clinic to have a sign‐off to count towards Level IV Certification, then a Level V Mentor must be present and observe the clinic presentation before signing the Officials Certification Card.

  • A Level IV Official may present any of the Level I and Level II Clinics without a Mentor.

    • If a Level IV Official wishes the clinic to have a sign‐off to count towards Level V Certification, then a Level V Mentor must be present and observe the clinic presentation before signing the Officials Certification Card.

  • A Level V Official may present any of the Level I or Level II Clinics and the Referee Clinic without a Mentor.
