STRATEGIC PLAN
The 2021-2028 Strategic Plan presents Swim Ontario with an opportunity to further strengthen its Vision of being a “world leader in swimming excellence at all levels”. The directional goals will be measured against the Mission, “best in class provincial sports organization, that supports performance and participation for life”, and through education, mentoring, responsible governance and exceptional service.
Swim Ontario will have a continuing legacy of champions and be recognized as a leader in the delivery of swimming excellence. Swim Ontario and the Ontario swimming community are guided by the following Core Values:

STRATEGIC INITIATIVES
Swim Ontario is focused on building a sustainable model in the following areas to help swimmers achieve success from the fundamental level through to the Olympian.
HIGH PERFORMANCE
Swim Ontario will develop a Performance System with defined goals, outcomes and key performance indicators to monitor the development and success of the strategy.
Provincial Program Development and Delivery
We will continue to use our Long Term Athlete Development Strategy intended to shape the development, progress and success of swimmers in Ontario. This includes developing well‐rounded swimmers who can excel in multiple events.
Membership and Partner Services
We will ensure that all groups within Swim Ontario will continue to work together. Clubs, Coaches, Regions, Officials and Masters Swimming all have part to play a swimmer’s pathway to success.
Organizational Structure, Efficiency & Effectiveness
We have implemented financial policies and practices to guarantee a reasonable return on investment (ROI) for the funds under our control while ensuring transparency and accountability through full reporting and the annual audit process.
Working to make sport safe for all
Swim Ontario believes that athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers have the right to participate in a safe and inclusive training and competitive environment that is free of abuse, harassment or discrimination.
