Compliance

As referenced in the National & Provincial Registration Procedures & Rules, provided are a list of coaches who meet the compliance required to be on deck at sanctioned competitions in Ontario.

The Coach Compliance Deadline for the 2025-2026 season will be November 30, 2025. Coaches must appear on this list after this deadline in order to attend competitions.

Definitions:

• First Year Coaches - These coaches are in their first season of being a registered coach and have taken the Swimming 101 course, but have not completed all their certification requirements.  They are able to be on deck for sanctioned competition for 2025-2026 but do need to achieve certified status by November 30, 2026.  These coaches need to be accompanied by a coach either on the Returning or Exemption List.  First Year Coaches are not allowed to be on deck solo at either training or competitions without a certified coach.
  
  
• Returning Coaches - The coaches appearing on this are registered, certified at minimum at Fundamentals, and able to be on deck for sanctioned competitions for 2025-2026, as per the the policy.  They are also able to supervise coaches on the First Year List
  
  
• Exemptions - A coach not appearing on this list may apply for exemption to Swim Ontario by emailing Lindsay outlining the situation and a plan as to when certification will be completed.  Exemptions are not guaranteed and will be on a case by case basis.  Coaches who have completed their requirements for registration and certification and are waiting for the marking of their Portfolio to be completed are also on this exemption list.
  
  

Masters Club Coaches may not appear on these lists as it is not required to have a coach on deck at Masters Competitions
