2025 Canada Games

Swim Ontario is proud to announce the 2025 Canada Games Team!

The 2025 Canada Games will be held in St. John’s, Newfoundland August 8-25, with the swimming competition being held August 10-15.

“Ontario has had a long history of stellar performances at Canada Games, with many swimmers using it as a stepping stone to future spots on national teams, as well as Olympic and Paralympic success. It will be an exciting week of racing and representing the province,” said Dean Boles, Swim Ontario CEO.

Team Ontario Head Coach Olivier Renaud is optimistic heading into the Games. “Congratulations to all of the swimmers and their home coaches for the great achievements at the Canadian Trials. I’m looking forward to getting the team together in August to defend our title in St. John’s. I’m confident that the selected swimmers will impress once again!”

Canada Games has the unique experience of bringing the Olympic, Paralympic and Special Olympic stream athletes together in one shared Games experience, with 24 Olympic stream athletes, 6 Paralympic stream athletes and 4 Special Olympic stream athletes representing Team Ontario.

“I’m honoured to be part of Team Ontario for the Canada Summer Games and can’t wait to support this incredible group of athletes. It's inspiring work with the next generation of great Canadian swimmers as they chase their goals and represent our province on the national stage,” said Cody Bradt, the para lead coach of the team.

Team Ontario will be staging at TPASC and then will be travelling to Newfoundland for the Games.
