Interim Coach Registration Processes

Swimming Canada has worked with the CSCA to develop an interim coach registration process. The process will be the same for both new and returning coaches.

A new registration is defined as a registration for which invoices were not marked paid in the RTR prior to January 16, 2023. E-transfers received for registration invoices would not have been processed after Friday January 13 and those invoices do not exist. The clubs submit applicable registrations on the new registration spreadsheet. The e-transfers are being held as credits to apply to the new registrations.

Swim Ontario does not have the capacity to answer registration questions from multiple club representatives so we ask that all questions come from the Club Registrars/Administrators only.

When submitting your spreadsheets please ensure the file name includes: Club Code - “Coach Registration”, Date of submission and Version. If you have multiple submissions in a day please do not repeat coaches.

Coach Registration

1. Club registers Coach with Swim Ontario by submitting the EXCEL Club Template for Interim Coach Registration to Lindsay. The EXCEL Club Template for Interim Coach Registration will include the Swim Ontario invoice on the second tab.
   Reminder that all coaches must complete the Consents, Safe Sport and a Sterling Backcheck Screening or VSC (if over 18) as part of the registration process. Coaches are not registered until these requirements are met.
2. CSCA sends invoice for CSCA fees directly to Club
3. Once payment for CSCA fee is received, CSCA will email CSCA Screening Form directly to Coach
4. Swim Ontario sends final confirmation to Club and Coach that they are fully registered once they have completed all PSO Requirements (screening, safe sport education, etc.)

Swimming Canada has created Adobe Sign web forms for the Acknowledgement and Assumption of Risk Form and the Consent to Swimming Canada Policies. Please share this link with the coach to complete. This is a mandatory requirements
