A great man left us suddenly yesterday, and its echoes were far-reaching.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we are saddened to share with the swimming community that coach Robert Toupin passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 19th.

Robert had a great impact on many lives as both a friend and a mentor. He was passionate about swimming and his athletes…he was strong and proud…he was loyal and caring…he made sure that every athlete felt as if they were the most important person on the deck.

The pool deck will be empty without you there and our hearts a little heavier as we cope with the loss.

We will miss you terribly, dear friend.

To all of Robert’s family, the athletes, and loved ones, we extend our condolences during this difficult time.

A visitation and celebration of life will be held at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St. Joseph Blvd. Orleans.

Wednesday April 27th
Visitation from 2pm - 4pm
Celebration of life from 4pm - 5pm
