Thank you!
April is “Volunteer Month” in Canada and a time for us to recognize and be grateful to our thousands of volunteers who have done wonders for swimmers across Ontario. People who are exemplary individuals, who are constantly making a positive impact and are - at the Pools, in Board rooms, sitting around Kitchen and Dining room tables across the province and beyond - to bring aspirations of our swimmers to a positive experience they won’t forget.
In short, we would not be able to conduct not only swim meets or large and small Club operations without the commitment and dedication from so many. Their rewards are nothing more than being there to see swimmers strive for success, achieve that personal best time, or even win an award. It’s about competitiveness, recreation, good health and fun.
Swim Ontario, as it does so often, continues to highlight our volunteers - in this special month – with our gratitude and appreciativeness. We have randomly selected individuals from across the province. Yes, many of them have volunteered for enormous periods of time. This exclusive series of stories shines the spotlight on them. We thank David Grossman for his writing skills and his own passion for the sport of swimming as he has provided hundreds of stories from the swimming community to the swimming community.
Over the next few weeks, enjoy the stories.
To all our volunteers, a huge THANK YOU!
