The Aquatic Sport Council has been working with StrategyCorp to advocate for the development of 50-metre pools in Ontario. As part of this process, StrategyCorp will be hosting a webinar on May 11th at 7:00 - 8:00PM.
Ontario’s aging pool infrastructure is increasingly at risk, with most indoor 50-metre pools built decades ago and only four constructed since 2000. Limited pool access reduces opportunities for swim lessons, recreation, rehabilitation, aquatic sport, and local sport tourism.
This needs to change.
Swim clubs can play an important role by advocating directly with their local municipalities. Understanding the pathways for municipal engagement will help clubs make the case for new infrastructure and, over time, create more space for athletes and communities to train, compete, and participate.
In collaboration with ASC, StrategyCorp will be hosting a webinar to discuss advocacy efforts and various avenues for change on May 11th, 7:00PM - 8:00PM. You can access the webinar and sign up HERE
