News

Swim Ontario is thrilled to share the remarkable achievements of two outstanding individuals in our swimming community. Daryle Martin, from Thunder Bay, Ontario, has been named as an official for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, while Sandra Rousseau, of Milton, Ontario, has earned the role of an official for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games!

Daryle's journey as a FINA/AQUA official commenced in 2016, and her unwavering dedication has been consistently evident at the local, provincial, and national levels. Beyond officiating at the international and national level, she actively mentors officials in Ontario, aiding them in decisions about the continuation of their officiating journey beyond their child's swimming career.

Similarly, Sandra Rousseau embarked on her role as a WPS International official in 2017, demonstrating exceptional dedication across various levels of competition. Like Daryle, Sandra is deeply involved in mentoring officials in Ontario, providing valuable guidance for those contemplating the extension of their officiating involvement at the para-swimming level.

Congratulations to both Daryle and Sandra on these well-deserved achievements, representing the excellence and commitment within Swim Ontario's officiating community!
