Swim Ontario is proud to announce the launch of its new Masters Swimming Ambassador Program, an initiative designed to strengthen and expand adult swimming opportunities across the province.
Leading the program is respected coach and Masters swimming advocate Nancy Black, who will serve as the inaugural Masters Swimming Ambassador. In this role, Nancy will work closely with clubs and communities to support the continued growth and development of Masters swimming in Ontario.
The Masters Swimming Ambassador Program will focus on engaging with clubs, promoting participation, and enhancing programming to better serve adult swimmers of all abilities. A key priority will be building stronger connections within the swimming community while identifying opportunities to collaborate with Age Group clubs, triathlon communities, and other partners to increase adult participation in the sport.

“Nancy brings a deep passion for Masters swimming and a strong track record of community engagement,” said Dean Boles, Swim Ontario CEO. “Having Nancy’s leadership and alignment from the recent Canadian Sport Commission report will help create more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable opportunities in the Swim Ontario swimming community for adults to stay active and connected through swimming.”
Through this initiative, Swim Ontario aims to foster a more vibrant Masters swimming environment; one that supports lifelong participation, health, and community connection.
