Departure of Darda Sales

Swim Ontario is sad to announce the departure of Darda Sales, Para Swimming Development Consultant as she accepts an exciting new role with the Canadian Paralympic Committee as Manager, Athlete Services and Engagement.

Darda has expanded para swimming in the province with development of education programs including Pools to Schools, the REACH webinar series, Becoming Para Ready sessions, leading and developing camps and teams, classification, and much more. She has been an invaluable mentor and resource to clubs, coaches and swimmers across the province.

“We have experienced a momentum in Para swimming development due to Darda’s passion and expertise; a definite impact over the last few years here in Ontario,” said Dean Boles, Swim Ontario CEO. “Swim Ontario will strive to continue all the good work started by Darda with the assistance of key participants in the field.”

Darda’s last official day will be December 4, finishing up with the Ken Demchuk International Tour Team and Swim Ontario Para Training Camp in Markham.

Darda has been a key member of the Swim Ontario team since she joined us in this role in 2020 and she will be greatly missed, but we wish her the best on her next big adventure!
