June 13 Update - Spectators
Coaches and Festivals Families,
Over the past two weeks, Swim Ontario, City of Toronto staff, and the Etobicoke Swim Club team have been working tirelessly to create a safe environment for all our swimmers, coaches, volunteers, and officials. Ensuring their safety has been our top priority.
Due to the installation of temporary deck bleachers replacing the old ones, we anticipated potential overflow into the spectator area, which initially led to limited space for spectators.
After careful assessment, we are pleased to announce that there is now sufficient space around the deck, bleachers, and patio pool area for athletes and coaches. Therefore, we are lifting the restriction of one parent per swimmer. However, to accommodate as many families as possible, the policy of no coolers or bulky items remains in effect.
Volunteer security personnel will be present in the spectator area to manage flow.
Please remember that food is not permitted on deck, in the temporary bleachers, or in spectator areas. We encourage everyone to enjoy their meals and snacks outside during the weekend.
Additionally, Fine Designs (all 3 days) & Team Aquatic Supplies (Saturday only) vendors will be located outside for your convenience. Picture in Motion will be located in the cafeteria.
We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a safe sporting environment free from abuse, harassment, and discrimination.

A reminder to all participants: The Swim Ontario CODE OF CONDUCT AND ETHICS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS INCLUDING PARENTS/GUARDIANS PROCEDURE is in effect at this event.

- Session Timelines
Eligibility
All swimmers must be registered with a Swim Ontario affiliated club. Out-of-province swimmers are not eligible to attend.
- A competitor’s age is their age as of June 14, 2024
- The following swimmers are ineligible to attend Festivals:
- Swimmers 12&Under as of July 4, 2024 with 2 or more OSC Qualifying Times (age as of July 4) in either SCM or LCM.
- Times achieved after the entry deadline are not subject to this restriction.
- A competitor is permitted to attend either the 2024 Ontario Summer Festival Championship or the 2024 Ontario Summer Youth-Junior Championship but not both.
- Relay-only swimmers are permitted, however a swimmer at either the 2024 Ontario Summer Festival Championship or the 2024 Ontario Summer Youth-Junior Championship cannot be a relay-only swimmer at the other event. As an example, a qualified Festivals swimmers attending this meet cannot be a relay-only swimmer at OYJ as well. As well, a relay only swimmer cannot participate in both Festivals and OYJ s as a relay-only swimmer.
- Qualifying Period: January 1, 2023 – June 2, 2024

- All eligible swimmers must achieve at least 1 (one) 2024 Ontario Festivals Championships Standard
Para swimmers
- Para-swimmers must have a current Level 1 or higher classification with Swimming Canada
- Para swimming events are open to any age group
- Para-swimmers are subject to ineligibility for meet de-qualifying.
- De-qualifying: A para-swimmer with 1 or more provincial para standard is not eligible to attend Festivals.
- All events are swum as OPEN in the MORNING sessions.
