Summer McIntosh INSPIRE Scholarship

Summer McIntosh is a three time Olympic Champion, eight time World Aquatics champion and two time Commonwealth Games gold medalist.

Summer first drew recognition when, at age 14, she was the youngest member of the Canadian Team for the 2020 Summer Olympics, where she achieved a fourth place finish in the 400 freestyle. In 2022 Summer became the first Canadian to win two gold medals at a single World Championships—she was dubbed a “teen swimming sensation”. In March 2023, Summer broke her first world records in the 400 freestyle and the 400 medley. Summer continued to shine on the podium at the 2025 World Championships with four Gold medals.

As a special gesture of gratitude for the support she has received in Ontario and Canada along her performance pathway, Summer has made a generous donation for this award. Up to five Ontario swimmers who achieved a World Class On Track ‘1’ performance at the age Summer made her international debut will receive this award, and be recognized at the Ontario Junior International.
