Camp Fee: Between $750.00-1000.00

Team Size

  • Up to 16 Olympic Stream Swimmers regardless of gender
  • Swim Ontario reserves the right to not select a full complement of swimmers for this opportunity

Age of Eligibility:

  • Female: 14-17 Years of Age
  • Male: 15-18 Years of Age
  • Age as of December 31, 2023

Swimmer Eligibility:

  • Swimmers must be fully registered with Swimming Canada/Swim Ontario
  • Swimmers must meet Age of Eligibility listed above to be considered.
  • Swimmers must meet the qualifying standard for the competition.
  • Swimmers must be training full time with an Ontario member club
  • Swimmers who participated in the 2023 Pan Am Games are not eligible for selection

Staff Eligibility:

  • Must be fully registered with Swimming Canada/Swim Ontario
  • Coaches must meet the following certification minimums;
    • Lead Coach: Senior Coach(301) Trained
    • Assistant Coaches: Age Group Coach(201) Trained or Higher
  • Must be a named Coach of Record for a swimmer who is eligible for the tour.

Athlete Selection Criteria:

  • 2023 SNC On Track Times will be utilized for swimmer selection.
  • Eligible LCM performances will be ranked based on the highest percentage of World Class On-Track Performances.
  • Swim Ontario reserves the right to select swimmers outside of the selection criteria to the tour based on selection and performance at 2023 provincial programming camps.

Performance Window: January 1, 2023 to September 30, 2023

Athlete Performance Eligibility

  • Swim Ontario will only consider results in Olympic Events from all sanctioned long course (LC) competitions within the Eligible Performance Window.
  • Only results that appear on the Swimming Canada RTR or swimrankings.net will be considered.
  • It is responsibility of the individual clubs or athletes to ensure that results are uploaded to the Swimming Canada RTR

Coach Selection Criteria:

  • Lead Coach: Coach of Record for highest ranked World Class On-Track swimmer.
    • If the C.O.R declines, the next highest ranked C.O.R will be notified until a Lead Coach is named.
  • Assistant Coach: C.O.R for the next highest ranked confirmed swimmer
  • Assistant Coach: Female Coach of Record for a confirmed swimmer
  • Swim Ontario reserves the right to not select a full complement of swimmers for this opportunity

Camp Selection Timelines:

  • The 16 highest ranked swimmers using the selection criteria above will be notified of their eligibility to attend the camp through their Coach of Record.
  • Swimmers must confirm their attendance to Technical Lead Stu McLean by Friday November 3rd, 2023 at 5:00pm.
  • The final list of confirmed swimmers will be circulated to Coaches of Record.
  • Swim Ontario reserves the right to not select a full complement of swimmers for this camp

Travel and Accommodation:

  • Travel and Accommodation for the tour will be coordinated by the Team Manager.
  • Any costs associated with Pre and Post Tour travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the attending swimmers and coaches.

Amendments and Unforeseen Circumstances:

  • In the event of unforeseen or unusual circumstances, Swim Ontario Performance Staff under the direction of the CEO has the full discretion to resolve the matter as it sees fit, taking into account factors and circumstances that it deems relevant.

Changes to this Document:

  • The Swim Ontario performance staff reserves the right to make changes to this document at its discretion.
  • Any changes to this document shall be communicated directly to all eligible participants through their Coach of Record and published on the Swim Ontario website.
