Canada Games Pre Selection Camp 2

THIS PROGRAM OPPORTUNITY IS MADE POSSIBLE BY SWIM ONTARIO AND THE ONTARIO GOVERNMENT AND THE MINISTRY OF SPORT THROUGH THE QUEST FOR GOLD PROGRAM AND THE ONTARIO HIGH PERFORMANCE SPORT INITIATIVE.

RATIONALE: To provide collaborative training opportunities for swimmers who are determined to be age eligible for the Canada Summer Games

• Males: January 15, 2025
• Females: January 16, 2025

LOCATION: Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre

COST: $125.00/CAMP

SWIMMER ELIGIBILITY:

• Females: Y.O.B 2009 or Younger
• Males: Y.O.B 2008 or Younger
• Must be fully registered and in good standing with Swimming Canada/Swim Ontario
• Must meet eligibility for the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. Johns, NFLD

PERFORMANCE WINDOWS

• January 1-August 31, 2024
• September 1-Dec 16, 2024

PERFORMANCE ELIGIBILITY:

• Both LCM/SCM performances in Olympic events defined events during the stated performance window are eligible

Performances not appearing on the RTR or outside of the performance window will not be considered.

SELECTION PROCESS:

• Priority 1: Athletes who attended the Stage 1 Preselection Camp in November 2024.
• Priority 2: Swimmers with a SCM performance inside the TOP 5 in the provincial rankings during the September 1 - December 16, 2024 performance window posted on swimrankings.net who have not already been identified in Priority 1.

TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION:

• Swimmers and Coaches are responsible for their travel to and from the camp.

AMENDMENTS AND UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES:

• In the event of unforeseen or unusual circumstances Swim Ontario Technical Staff, under the direction of the CEO, has the full discretion to resolve the matter as it sees fit, taking into account factors and circumstances that it deems relevant.

CHANGES TO DOCUMENTS:

• The Swim Ontario technical staff reserves the right to make changes to this document at its discretion.
• Any changes to this document shall be communicated directly to all eligible participants through their Coach of Record and published on the Swim Ontario website.
