THIS DOMESTIC PODIUM DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM OPPORTUNITY IS MADE POSSIBLE BY SWIM ONTARIO


RATIONALE

To provide collaborative training opportunities for swimmers ranked in either the Ontario or Canadian rankings in 100m/200m events as part of the Swim Ontario Domestic Podium Development project.

TRAINING DATES

Stage 1:

  • Female: October 29, 2025
  • Male: October 30, 2025

Stage 2:

  • Female: January 7, 2026
  • Male: January 8, 2026

Stage 3:

  • April 21-23, 2026

SWIMMER TRAINING FEE - $175.00 per camp

SWIMMER ELIGIBILITY

  • Female Year of Birth 2010-2013
  • Male Year of Birth 2009-2012
  • Must be fully registered with Swimming Canada/Swim Ontario
  • Must be eligible to compete for Canada internationally
  • Swimmers must participate in all “In-Person” training opportunities
  • Swimmers selected to participate in the Swimming Canada Next Gen Distance Camp in Queensland Australia or the National Development Camp in Vancouver will not be eligible to participate in the first stage of this initiative.
  • Swimmers participating in the 2025 Toronto World Cup are not eligible to participate in Stage 1.
  • Swimmers selected to Stage 1 will be invited to participate in Stage 2(January 2026)

PERFORMANCE WINDOW

  • Stage 1: January 1 - August 31, 2025 (LCM Events Only)
  • Stage 2: September 1- December 15, 2025 (SCM Events Only)
  • Stage 3: January 1-March 10, 2026

**Selected swimmers will remain eligible during each performance window**

PERFORMANCE ELIGIBILITY

  • Stage 1: Only LCM performances in 100m/200m events ranked in the Ontario Rankings during the stated performance window are eligible
  • Stage 2: Only SCM performances in the 100m/200m events ranked in the Ontario rankings are eligible to identify additional swimmers
  • Stage 3: .Only LCM performances in 100m/200m events ranked in the Ontario Rankings during the stated performance window are eligible
  • Performances must appear on SwimRankings.net during the defined performance window.
  • Performances not appearing on SwimRankings.net, or outside of the performance window will not be considered.

SELECTION PRIORITIES

  • Swimmers selected to Stage 1 will be invited to participate in Stage 2 (January 2026)

Priority 1:

  • Swimmers ranked in the TOP 3 in the 200m events in the combined Year of Birth Ontario Rankings.

Priority 2:

  • Swimmers ranked in the TOP 3 in the 100m events in the combined Year of Birth Ontario Rankings.
  • Swim Ontario reserves the right to invite additional swimmers who fall outside of the selection priorities based on consultation with the coaching leads

PARTICIPANT EXPECTATIONS

  • Selected swimmers must attend and participate in all activities related to these training opportunities
  • Swimmer must be in good health and injury free to participate.
  • Selected swimmers must be in full training with their home club program
  • Must be able to complete all training expectations outlined by the leadership team
  • Swimmers will be asked to complete testing sets

TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION

Swimmers and Coaches are responsible for their travel and accommodation to and from the camp.

In the event of unforeseen or unusual circumstances, Swim Ontario Technical Staff, under the direction of the CEO, has the full discretion to resolve the matter as it sees fit, taking into account factors and circumstances that it deems relevant.

The Swim Ontario technical staff reserves the right to make changes to this document at its discretion. Any changes to this document shall be communicated directly to all eligible participants through their Coach of Record and published on the Swim Ontario website.
