Sept. 6 updates
As of September 3, officials will only be able to access the LMS to do e-modules or sign-up for clinics through their REMS account (direct link in REMS) and have Status Active.
The COA and Officials Guides for the LMS have been updated with as much information as is available
Swim Ontario will start activating registrars of affiliated clubs slowly throughout the day today for Clubs that have completed the affiliation process.
Currently, Swim Ontario has only activated the Swimmer Registration categories. Coach and Official Registration will be added as soon as possible after some growing pains get ironed out.
We have also advised club registrar to wait until the primary Admin Account user becomes comfortable with the REMS prior to activating additional admin accounts.
Please also be aware that the REMS will launch key modules at different intervals to allow clubs to adjust to one thing at a time.
PROSPECTIVE LAUNCH DATES FOR KEY MODULES:
September 4, 2024
September 10, 2024
Note: COAs using the LMS should hold off with the last step of sending the clinic details to the REMS until this module is available. They can mark attendance and save attendees.
September 17, 2024
October 8, 2024
Additionally, please communicate to your officials / families to not click on the Register/Renew Button when in the REMS
Orientation sessions were provided to clubs for the REMS system that included officials registration. You may review the video recording of the orientation as well as presentation slides HERE. To help answer questions from those orientations sessions:
Officials and volunteers will be required to register through the REMS system. The consent forms will be required to be Active officials and volunteers. The consent forms are also required prior to working on deck in either an official capacity or volunteer capacity (no level official).
More details will be provided in the Affiliation and Registration Guide and through communications beginning mid-August on official and volunteer registration through the REMS system.
