  • The Para Swimming emodule is available within the LMS (Learning Management System).
  • With more and more integrated swimming competitions, this is an excellent resource to learn about Para Swimming. While this e-learning module does not provide certification as a Para Swimming Official, it is an excellent starting point.
  • To certify as a Para Swimming Official, you must take the daylong Domestic Para Swimming clinic. Upcoming clinics are listed in the LMS (Learning Management System).

Process

When an official reaches Level 2 certification, the club will arrange for the presentation of the white pin. All new level 2 certification are approved by Swim Ontario through Swimming Canada registration site.

Deck Log & Clinics

Once an official reaches Level 2 certification they are strongly encouraged to begin keeping track of all meets worked including what positions and also clinics they have instructed in a log.  The official online profile account on the Swimming Canada registration site allows the official to enter those details. An official can also use a spreadsheet to keep track. A template is provided in resources below. The log will be important to maintain as the official progresses through the levels of certification as it will be part of the requirements for approval.
